Tips to Extend Battery Life

  • Avoid full discharge: Don't run the battery to zero every time. Start charging when it reaches about 20%.
  • Use regularly: Even if unused, complete a full charge-discharge cycle at least once a month. Batteries left idle degrade naturally.
  • Use the original charger: Mismatched voltage or current from non-original chargers can damage the battery.
  • Avoid heat: Do not charge or store in direct sunlight or hot environments. Ideal storage temperature is 15-25°C.
  • Don't charge while using (unless supported): ASKIR 230 and ASKIR 36 BR support charge-while-use. For other models, check the manual.

Long-Term Storage Guide

If the suction machine will be stored for more than one month:

  1. Charge the battery to approximately 50-60%
  2. Remove the battery (if the model allows) or disconnect power
  3. Store in a cool, dry place
  4. Take out and charge every 2-3 months
  5. Fully charge and test before resuming use

Signs Your Battery Needs Replacement

  • Runtime has noticeably shortened (less than half of original)
  • Charging time is abnormally long
  • Battery dies within minutes of a full charge
  • Battery appears swollen or deformed (stop using immediately)

FAQ

Can I replace the battery myself?

Most models require a technician for battery replacement, as it involves opening the casing and electrical connections. Self-replacement is not recommended.

Will leaving it plugged in damage the battery?

Most modern suction machines have charge protection circuits. However, leaving the machine plugged in long-term may accelerate battery ageing. We recommend unplugging after a full charge.

Is shorter battery life in winter normal?

Yes. Chemical reactions in batteries slow down in cold temperatures, temporarily reducing capacity. Performance returns at room temperature. If winter runtime is significantly reduced, charge indoors before going out.
