What the Filter Does
CA-MI's bacterial-hydrophobic filter is a combined design offering both bacterial filtration and liquid protection. It is the machine's last line of defence — blocking bacteria from secretions while preventing liquid (during overflow) from damaging internal components.

Warning: ASKIR 230 and ASKIR 36 BR filters are NOT interchangeable. They differ in size and fitting. Always confirm your model before ordering.
When to Replace
- Every 2 months (per Drive DeVilbiss standard)
- Between different users (mandatory)
- Immediately after overflow
- Immediately if filter gets wet
- When suction drops — replace filter first as a troubleshooting step
Installation Notes
When installing a new filter, confirm the direction is correct (usually indicated by an airflow arrow). Run a quick suction test after installation to confirm proper fit.
FAQ
They differ in size and fitting. SP 0046 fits the ASKIR 230 and ASKIR 30 PROXIMITY (Ø 6/10mm tubing). SP 0121 fits the ASKIR 36 BR (Ø 8/14mm tubing).
Not recommended. Mismatched sizes may cause air leaks or fitting issues. Different filtration grades may compromise protection.
Unopened filters can be stored long-term. We recommend using within 2 years of purchase. Once opened, install promptly.
